Carnifex e uma Banda de Deathcore formada em meados de 2005 em Fallbrook, California. Seus integrantes são: Scott Lewis - vocal (membro fundador) Shawn Cameron - bateria, percussão (membro fundador) Fred Calderon - baixo (desde 2007) Cory Arford - guitarra (desde 2007) Ryan Gudmunds - guitarra (desde 2007) Carnifex em latim significa "carrasco". Depois de lançar duas demos que foram assinadas pelo selo underground "This City Is Burning Records", em Julho de 2007 é lançado o primeiro álbum "Dead In My Arms". O sucesso deste álbum foi tão grande que atraiu a atenção da "Victory Records". Em 24 de junho de 2008 lançou o álbum "The diseased and poisoned", já com o selo da Victory Records, e alcançou a posição #19 na Billboard top Heatseekers. Em 16 de fevereiro de 2010, Carnifex lançou o álbum "Hell Choose me". Em 2011 lançam seu 4° album de estúdio intitulado Until I Feel Nothing,após isso entram em um hiato de 2 anos voltando em 2014 com o lançamento do seu 5° álbum de estúdio chamado Die Without Hope.
