 Gorod é uma banda de technical death metal do Bordéus, França. Eles formaram em 1997 sob o nome Gorgasm, lançando seu primeiro álbum  Neurotripsicks  pela Deadsun Records em 2004. Eles mudaram o nome para Gorod em 2005 para evitar confusão com uma banda norte-americana também chamado Gorgasm, re-lançando seu primeiro album pela Willowtip Records em 2005.

Atualmente Gorod tem quatro álbuns e uma EP, Seu trabalho mais recente é seu álbum de estudio chamado "A Perfect Absolution" lançado em 2012.

Este álbum é um álbum absurdamente cativante, inspirado, moderno e ousado mas sem perder a influencia inegável dos monstros do estilo como Death, Atheist e Cynic. Sinceramente, obrigatório aos fãs do gênero pela exímia capacidade dos músicos de usar a técnica em favor do feeling.
